Beautiful Elgin Cathedral, a historic ruin at northeast Scotland also known as the ‘Lantern of the North’

A historic gem in Elgin, Moray in northeast Scotland.

One of Scotland’s most beautiful medieval buildings, dating back to the 13th century.

The cathedral was founded in 1224, on land granted by King. Alexander II, and was dedicated to the Holy Trinity.
