Seaton Park Location Map

The park is on the historic Seaton estate, which was held by the Gordon family in the 17th century and later the Forbes and then Hay families.

Seaton Park was established in 1947 on the grounds of the former Seaton House estate, which was owned by the Gordon, Forbes, and Hay families before its sale to the city. While a public park, it retains remnants of its history, including a Bronze Age motte, the 17th-century Wallace Tower, and a fountain marking the site of the now-destroyed Seaton House.

The park features the formal “Cathedral Walk” leading to St Machar’s Cathedral, a community orchard, and a popular children’s play area with a repurposed steam engine
